Find the number of days between two dates. Enter the start and end year, month, and day.
Usage Tip
Month is a number from 1 (January) to 12 (December). If the end date is before the start, the result still shows the size of the gap.
Weeks = days ÷ 7, approximate months = days ÷ 30.44
Months and years are approximate because their lengths vary.
Leap years add a day (Feb 29) and are handled automatically.
For age specifically, the age calculator gives exact years, months, and days.
The date calculator finds the number of days between two dates, or adds or subtracts a period of days, weeks, months, or years from a date. Counting the number of days between two dates normally does not include the starting day, so check whether you need to count both the first and the last day, which adds one to the total.
When you add months, the result lands on the same day of the month, or on the last day if the month is shorter, so one month after January 31 is the end of February. Business day counts leave out weekends but usually not public holidays, so check holidays separately. Leap years add a day to February, which the calculator accounts for automatically.
