How to maximize your rebate
->Apply before starting work. Most utilities require pre-approval before installation. Starting without approval almost always disqualifies the project.
->Use DLC-listed products. Rebates almost always require DesignLights Consortium (DLC) listed fixtures. Check the DLC QPL database before purchasing.
->Check DSIRE.org. The Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency lists every available program by state.
->Stack with federal deductions. Commercial lighting projects may qualify for the 179D tax deduction (up to $5/sq ft) in addition to utility rebates.
->Ask about custom programs. Large projects (over 50kW saved) often qualify for custom rebate programs with higher per-watt rates.
