How do I find a percentage of a number?

Convert the percentage to a decimal by dividing by 100, then multiply by the number. For 15 percent of 80, compute 0.15 times 80, which is 12.

How do I find what percent one number is of another?

Divide the part by the whole, then multiply by 100. For 12 out of 80, that is 12 divided by 80, then times 100, giving 15 percent.

How do I calculate percentage change?

Subtract the original value from the new value, divide by the original, then multiply by 100. A rise from 80 to 100 is 20 divided by 80, or a 25 percent increase.
