How the business days calculator works
Enter a start and end date and the tool counts only the working days between them, skipping Saturdays and Sundays. It also shows total calendar days, how many of those were weekend days, and the equivalent in five day work weeks, so you can plan timelines around the working calendar.
Why business days matter
Many deadlines, shipping estimates, and service level agreements are quoted in business days rather than calendar days. A five business day turnaround starting on a Thursday actually lands the following Thursday once the weekend is skipped, which is easy to miscount by hand.
What counts as a working day
This tool treats Monday through Friday as working days and excludes weekends. It does not subtract public holidays, since those vary by country and region, so for official deadlines check the relevant holiday calendar and subtract any that fall in your range.
Common uses
Estimate project durations, count notice or processing periods, plan delivery windows, or check when a working day deadline actually falls. The start and end day of week are shown to help you sanity check the range.
