Find the least common multiple (and greatest common factor) of a list of numbers. Enter them separated by commas.
Usage Tip
The LCM grows fast with more or larger numbers; the GCF stays small. Use LCM for common denominators, GCF for reducing.
Extended across the whole list
It is the least common denominator when adding fractions.
Non-integer or non-positive entries are ignored.
The greatest common factor is shown as well.
The least common multiple of a list of numbers is the smallest number that all of them divide into evenly. It is the key to adding fractions with different denominators, since the LCM of the denominators gives the least common denominator. For 4 and 6 the LCM is 12.
It is also used to find when repeating events line up, such as two machines on different cycles that restart together. The LCM of two numbers equals their product divided by their greatest common factor, which is how the calculator can give both values together. Separate your numbers with commas and use whole numbers greater than zero.
