In the target unit.

Usage Tip

Anchors: 1 kg ≈ 2.2 lb, 1 lb ≈ 454 g, 1 oz ≈ 28.35 g.

THE MATH
Convert to a base unit, then to the target:
result = value × (from factor ÷ to factor)
Mass units convert through a base (grams). Metric scales by tens and thousands; imperial uses ounces, pounds, and stone.
This treats weight as mass, which is correct on Earth at everyday precision.
Strictly, mass (kg) and weight (a force) differ, but in daily use the conversion above is what people mean.
1 pound = 16 ounces; 1 stone = 14 pounds (used in the UK for body weight).
A metric ton is 1000 kg ≈ 2205 lb, close to but not the same as a US short ton (2000 lb).
